Trout is a medium-sized freshwater fish that lives in cold waters, primarily in Northern Portugal. Our trout comes from the Rio Coura in northern Portugal. Trout is a well-known fish on the Portuguese menu.

Nutritional value

Omega-3 fatty acids. Therefore, its consumption helps prevent brain and cardiovascular diseases and helps maintain bone health.

Sauce

Our curry sauce is an extremely creamy sauce designed to honor this spicy and bold seasoning, offering the consumer a different kind of preserve full of flavor. Ideal for pairing with milder fish to allow all the flavors of the sauce to emerge. The recipe was created to achieve the ideal taste and spiciness for those who love dishes featuring this spice.

Production method

The trout is prepared in our facilities and cooked for as long as necessary to give the meat the ideal texture. After cooking, the trout is processed by hand and placed in the can by staff who are accustomed to canning the fish so that it looks its best and the fillet remains as whole as possible. The sauce is added by hand to each can, and each can is closed one by one, washed, sterilized, and carefully packaged.

The freshness and quality of the raw material are constant, but not all fish are the same. We test in the kitchen. We produce small trial runs of three to five cans, searching for what we want to find. We refine the trials and adjust every detail. Then we produce larger series with different fish to choose the best combination. We welcome suggestions from our customers, partners, and other chefs. We are proud to push this innovation as far as possible, writing a new chapter in the world of preserves.
