2020 Vintage Sardines Delphine Cossais
Nostalgic for the softness of the Vendée coast and the passionate embrace of her sailor, Mademoiselle Perle returns to Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie in search of peace and serenity. Designed and painted by the Nantes artist Delphine Cossais, this painting subtly sublimates this new setting for the 2020 vintage sardines.
Caught at the height of the season off the coast of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, vintage sardines reflect a know-how of excellence perpetuated since 1887. These sardines with an exceptional fat content (over 12%) are true vintages to be kept for up to 10 years; ensure you turn them every six months. A decade in which they become tender and candied, an essential ritual to appreciate all the qualities of these precious sardines.

In 2016, artist Coralie Joulin designed a new creation for our haute couture gourmet sardines, inspired by the skilled and delicate movements of the women at the cannery who process the anchovies. The muse of La Perle des Dieux, Miss Lulu, appears modern and graceful.
The elegant tin contains four to six vintage sardines, caught off the coast of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, processed fresh, and prepared by hand using artisanal methods. Vintage sardines can be stored for several years. Turned regularly, they are steeped in the extra virgin olive oil within the tin until they are fully candied.
