Trout is a medium-sized freshwater fish that lives in cold waters, primarily in Northern Portugal. Our trout comes from the Rio Coura, in the north of Portugal. Trout is a well-known fish on the Portuguese menu.

Nutritional value

Trout is rich in minerals, proteins, vitamins B12, B6, and D, and
Omega-3 fatty acids. Therefore, its consumption helps prevent brain and cardiovascular diseases and helps maintain bone health.

Sauce

Aglio e olio sauce is a simple and creamy sauce where the fresh taste of garlic and parsley clearly stands out. In our opinion, it is a light sauce that pairs well with summery and lighter meals. The two aromatic herbs complement each other and never mask the flavor of the fish.

Production method

The trout is prepared in our facilities and cooked for as long as necessary to give the meat the ideal texture. After cooking, the trout is processed by hand and placed in the can by staff who are accustomed to canning the fish so that it looks as beautiful as possible and the fillet remains as whole as possible. The sauce is added to each of the cans by hand; each can is closed one by one, washed, sterilized, and carefully packed.

Our facility produces no more than 999 cans of each ABC+ series every day. This makes every can truly special. It also means we can source much smaller quantities of fish and do not have to develop concepts based solely on volume.
Our fish are selected based on what is fresh, in season, and above all, inspiring. This, combined with sauces that are handmade seasonally, means that no two batches (or even two cans) are completely identical. Instead of trying in vain to enforce uniformity for the sake of repetition, we embrace this uniqueness of experience, knowing that each can will be delicious in its own distinctive way. This makes our products more like single malt Scotch than blended whisky.
