Although it’s a blue fish, the garfish differs from the sardine in many ways, such as its powerful flavour and firm texture.
Ar de Arte selects small specimens caught in Galician waters, always within the limits set by sustainability legislation. After being cleaned and roasted, they are individually hand-packed and covered in olive oil, which will enhance its flavour over time through the influence of this fish.
The artwork adorning the packaging is, of course, an original painting by Fernando Rei, painted exclusively for Ar de Arte in 2020.
