Meet Álvaro and Pablo, two brothers from Santander who, two years ago, held steady jobs outside of Cantabria and now produce canned fish. There is no turning back now. Enthusiasm and sacrifice. Hours and hours and more hours. There are no secrets.

After a journey of nearly ten years away from their homeland—studying, living, working, absorbing… in short, with their backpacks full of experiences—they received the call of the Cantabrian Sea and, as it could not be otherwise, they went for it. They became involved in this vital family project that fulfills them and returned to their homeland, as if drawn by a magnet. Revolting against the idea that one must emigrate to other latitudes to prosper and earn a living, they want their children to grow up here, because this is their terroir and because there is no better place to develop an idea and turn it into reality.

At Alalunga, they aim to link the purest canning tradition, which has existed in the north of the peninsula since the 19th century, with the possibilities of new culinary technologies to develop the most exquisite products with the taste of the sea.
